How do I scan books?
Simply open the app and point your camera at a bookshelf. The AR scanner will automatically detect book spines and barcodes. For best results, hold your phone steady and ensure good lighting.
How accurate are the price estimates?
Price estimates are based on publicly available market data and should be used as a general guide only. Actual selling prices depend on book condition, edition, current market demand, and other factors.
Why wasn't my book recognized?
Book recognition depends on text clarity, lighting conditions, and database coverage. Try scanning the ISBN barcode for more accurate results. Some older or rare books may not be in our database.
What does "Hit" mean?
A "Hit" indicates a book with an estimated resale value above your minimum price threshold. You can adjust this threshold in the app settings.
Does the app work offline?
The app requires an internet connection to look up book information and pricing data. Barcode scanning works offline, but you'll need connectivity to retrieve book details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple App Store account. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Juno, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Is my camera data stored or shared?
No. All camera processing happens locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any images or video from your camera.

Juno ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials.
- Subscription Information: If you subscribe to premium features, payment is processed through Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or store payment card details.

- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality.

1.3 Camera and Image Data
Important: Our App requires camera access to scan book spines and barcodes.
- All camera processing occurs locally on your device.
- We do not transmit, store, or retain any images or video from your camera.
- We do not use facial recognition or capture photos of your surroundings.
- Once text or barcode data is extracted, the image data is immediately discarded.
1.4 Book and ISBN Data
ISBN numbers and detected book titles are sent to third-party book databases to retrieve book information. This data is not permanently stored on our servers.

4. Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active.
- Camera/Image Data: Not retained. Processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
- Scan History: Stored locally on your device only.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures including encryption of data in transit and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
- Access and Correction: Update your account information through App settings.

3. Subscription and Payments
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

4. Use of the App

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranties regarding accuracy of information or results
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUNO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
- Damages from reliance on pricing information
- Damages from purchasing decisions based on App information
Total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or fees paid in the preceding 12 months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juno from claims arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or purchasing/selling decisions based on App information.
11. Termination
You may terminate by uninstalling the App and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
Before filing legal claims, contact wunostudio@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
14. Changes to Terms

15. General Provisions
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement.
- Invalid provisions do not affect remaining provisions.

- These Terms are between you and Juno, not Apple.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
